But there's also those times when we know we need a specific item but we don't know what we want it to look like as far as fit, style, etc. This makes our shopping trip even harder because we can't even tell the sales associate what we're looking for. Sometimes we'll spend hours in fitting rooms trying different things on and are still unsure of what we like. This is the worst because it's like you've lost your style senses. You don't even know why you don't like something when you try it on.
So how do you solve your shopping problems? It's all in your mindset. You have to ask yourself, "Am I shopping for me or am I shopping for someone else?" What I mean is, do you choose to wear what you want to wear or do you dress to please someone else?
Do you need to have the Hamilton bag from Michael Kors because everyone else is wearing that bag or do you just need a new handbag that fits who you are? Are you confused about what you're looking for because you don't know your personal style or are you just not sure if other people will like what you're wearing?
We need to focus on ourselves when we go shopping and stop thinking about what's in style today or what our friends think about what we wear. Because we are the ones taking the time out of our life to go to the mall, spend hours trying to find something, spend OUR money and end up wearing those pieces at the end of the day.
Of course, there are times when you go shopping and it truly takes a while to find what you're looking for but if we think deeply, we'll see that most of the time it's because we're not honestly shopping for ourselves.
