I know that finding joy in the gifts you give may not sound like anything but when you understand how Thanksgiving and Christmas are connected, you will soon agree. Thanksgiving is about being thankful for what you have in your life and by the time Christmas arrives, you can show your gratitude by giving someone else something they truly desire. It is also perfect when you are giving to someone that has attributed to what you are thankful for.
You may consider that money is an issue but giving doesn't have to be connected with money. Sometimes the perfect gift for someone is to be with them because you rarely spend time with them. One year, I truly had a Merry Christmas because I was able to give everyone on my list what they truly wanted.
The other part is that by showing gratitude by giving, you are rewarded with what you receive in return. By giving someone else what they truly desire, you have attracted the same for yourself. It is simply these practices during Christmas that help you become more giving and self-less. When you are a giving person, you help everyone including yourself grow..
"Give and it will be given to you, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over will be put into your lap.. For the measure you give, will be the measure you get back." Luke 6:38
Use what you were thankful for during Thanksgiving to motivate you to focus on giving for Christmas in order to receive the many blessings that will help you to become the best version of yourself.
