The Power of Your Words

Many times we say things we don't mean and speak about the negative things in our lives but it's important to be impeccable with your words as they truly have an impact on your life. Have you ever wondered why when you say "it can't get any worse," it actually does?  What about when you speak about someone who you haven't seen in a while and they show up out of nowhere? It's not really a coincidence
Life truly is what you make it. What you speak about, you bring about. When you speak about negative things and how terrible you're feeling, you're telling the universe that this is what you want in your life. It also keeps your mind focused on the negative things in life so you may not even see the opportunity for positive things. Don't be a "Debbie Downer." It's time to focus on the positive things in our lives because that's the only way to have joy and to truly be happy.

When you are sure about what you want in life, it's important to believe that you can obtain it and to never give up on it. A great example of your possibilities of greatness is what I've accomplished in my entrepreneurial career. I created this blog originally to get noticed as a stylist. Only 3 weeks after creating it, I became a stylist for ModeWalk. Although I am still in the beginning stages of my businesses, I am seeing so many positive results and in a few years from now, I will be so happy that I never gave up. Never giving up is the biggest thing people struggle with. They think success happens overnight but it almost never does. Yes, I became a stylist for ModeWalk after 3 weeks of blogging, but I am still in the beginning stages after almost a year in the business.

I am much happier as a result of positive thinking and speaking. Unfortunately, I still either engage in negative activity (like listening to sad songs) or speak about negative things going on in my life because I really need to get it out of my mind and relieve myself. However, once it's out of my mind, I barely reminisce on the pain. I have to involve myself in a variety of stress relievers to gain the strength to be positive. Maintaining positivity in your life is the key to inner peace.

I grow closer to it everyday. I used think people who praised God as they were struggling in life were pretending to be joyful. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely people out there that only share their happy moments and pretend to be happy by lying about their lives. However, there truly are people who may have nothing in our eyes but to them they have everything.

I feel blessed to have been through so much in my life and haven't lost my mind. Things that used to annoy me no longer affect my mood as I am not present with them. I choose how I am feeling today, not someone else. I am still learning and growing to maintain inner peace and I am looking forward to achieving it. I dream about the life I want to live and I am speaking that life into existence.
