Carrie is my age, fun, outgoing, a little psycho (haha, she gave me permission to post this..) but again, she has so many stories that I want to start posting about. I also ask my my neighbor Lindsey for hers because she has some great ones. I just sit and take notes like a loser.
So! Back to Carrie.. the guy she is dating is fun and outgoing much like she is. His name is Andrew and he lives here also. They’ve been dating for about 6 months I think. She has a lot of the same issues that I deal with, with Whiskey. If that puts in into perspective for you… sighhh
We were talking about fun dates and she said she had a great story for me..
He shows up to her house and they grabbed a bottle of wine, packed a bag of towels, a blanket and drove to St Pete Beach. They walked to the beach area and spread out a blanket, opened the wine and talked.
Umm, talked? Haha, about what? Right? She couldn’t remember everything they talked about (assuming the wine..) or maybe she didn’t want to tell me since I am doing this blog but they talked about them, the past, and everything in between. The night was clear and they looked at the stars and the water was so calm.
They started making out on the beach, there was a blanket involved, clothes on the ground, and apparently they kept sand out of the most important place (because yes, I asked the question of what happens if sand gets..) and then they went skinny dipping for an hour and basically watched the sun come up.
Me, personally, I would be terrified to go in the ocean at night. Sharks, hello. But Carrie said it was so fun and amazing. The fear of being caught, being in the dark water, and being with Andrew was the perfect blend of romance and adventure. Did you know, if you swim at night your body glows? The bubbles in the water actually glow around you. (now that is cool and I want to see this)
I asked her how serious they are and it’s not serious at all apparently. Do you love this guy? You talk about him a lot but you aren’t together. Why? She said doesn’t love him, likes him a lot but right now their life doesn’t blend for multiple reasons. (Told you, Whiskey syndrome? Haha) I asked why would you do this then? The guy isn’t your boyfriend and he text you at 1am. Carrie said she did it because it’s fun. It’s a story she can look back on and remember always. And really, I started thinking about it and that is what life is about. Doing stuff that keeps you young. The fact that it was so spontaneous for them probably made it more fun. If you have time to plan something like that you over think it. Sometimes in life, you just gotta wing it. Just go. Screw the rules. Maybe the only care is watching the sand in places that could be torture but when adventure calls your name… GO.
I don’t know about you, but I kiiiiiinda wannna go skinny dipping now. (sorry mom… )
