I understand that many people find it cruel to wear real fur as animals are sacrificed to either keep ourselves warm or just for us to show what we can afford. However, animals are also sacrificed for us to eat. Is warmth not as important as food? Your body can go days without eating anything but there have been days this winter that if you stood outside long enough, you would freeze to death. Just like we can choose to wear a different coat fabrication, we can choose to be vegetarians. As i've learned, some meats consists of everything you wouldn't eat from the animal. So we're basically wasting the life of the animal just so the companies can call what they sell "chicken".
I think the reason people suggest fur to be such a cruel thing is because too many people only wear it to show they live a luxurious lifestyle and not to stay warm. Why is there not the same complaint when people wear a real wool coat or leather boots? Fur has long been an issue in fashion but there are so many things going on in the world that are cruel to animals. I'm not saying fur is something that should be accepted, I'm simply suggesting that if you strongly believe that fur is animal cruelty, you should realize that many things that we do are a part of the cruelty animals experience.
