Dolls Are Meant To Play With, Women Are Meant To Love

When I was growing up, I told my mom I wanted to be a barbie. I was only 7 years old so I had no clue that this wasn't humanly possible. She told me that barbies are made of plastic and my response was, "So what are we made of, wood?" I must've figured because I am brown skin, I have to be made of wood! LOL
On a more serious note, why do little girls want to become dolls and why do we still aspire to be one long after we've realized that we simply can't? If a doll is a model of a human being, there's no need to be one because we are human beings. Dolls are also toys and toys are meant to be played with. Do you want people to play with you? I don't.

I think women want to be a doll because some women view dolls as a model of what they want to look like. Barbie dolls are pretty and skinny so many women view that as perfection and we are conditioned at a vary early age that this is what perfection looks like. But perfection simply does not exist and a doll is not real so I would never want to focus on being something I could never be.

When women call themselves dolls, they are also giving the perception that they are mindless and passive. Men will view these women as a trophy and nothing else. All you need to do is dress a doll and she will be happy. She doesn't need to have a serious career, you can play with her emotions and you don't have to take anything she says seriously because she doesn't have a voice. She is there for a man's pleasure so they play with her whenever they want and dispose of her when they've found a new doll to play with.

Many women strive for perfection because they want men to view them this way and if they were a barbie doll, they think they would be. But we should want to be no one other than who we are because that's what makes us beautiful. We should also never desire to be a man's doll. We should want to build our own careers, speak our minds and simply be a woman, not a doll. We should be loved by men and be equal partners in relationships. Don't be a doll, be a beautiful woman.
