In my "True Meaning of Style" learning module, I discussed the difference between dressing for how you want others to perceive you vs. dressing for others. Even though we'd love to always dress for perception, sometimes we just don't see the bigger picture or have yet to understand why certain pieces and the way they're styled work for what we want to accomplish.
A lot of times when I think of a one piece, I think of the 1940's, when fashion was all about elegance and grace. Most women today wear a bikini or monokini but the one piece is a classic and can be just as sexy. Sometimes women show a little more skin because it's either the only way they know how to be seductive or because it's the easiest way to do it.
Yoga is an exercise that everyone should do for better mental and physical health. I perform yoga to maintain peace in my life as sometimes I keep personal thoughts hidden from the rest of the world. Every time I do yoga I feel less stressed and sometimes I get a burst of energy. Although yoga is known for flexibility, it is performed to relax your mind, body and spirit. As someone who has done yoga for 9 years, I can agree that it does exactly that.
What you wear has a major impact on your day, whether you realize it or not. Have you realized how much different you act and feel when you wear a suit compared to sweats? The same can be said for the color choices. When you wear bright colors, you put yourself in a positive mood.
Although a mirror is a true image of what we look like on the outside, we can sometimes trick our minds into seeing something different. Either someone told us some things they didn't like in our physical features or we often compare ourselves to others and like their physical features better. So when we view ourselves in the mirror, we reflect on the things that we don't like in our image instead of recognizing the things that we love.
Some women love to wear neutral colors such as nude, black and white because it makes them feel safe or because that's the best way they know how to dress.
Women are overjoyed when they get that beautiful proposal and see that stunning ring that they can show off to everyone and while that's a wonderful moment, I believe men should wear a ring as well. Why? Because the significance of an engagement ring is to symbolize that you are committed to someone that you love and have every intention of being faithful to him or her as you plan to marry in the future. If the man is not required to wear one as well, how significant is that commitment?
Ladies wear heels for dates, work and partying among other things, but why? It would seem that height plays a major factor in why women wear heels but many women don't care about height.
