I like crop tops but I am self-conscious about my stomach so I have to wear them in a specific way that makes me comfortable. Just like I tell my clients, if it doesn't make you feel confident and beautiful then don't wear it because it will never look good on you. Why? Because clothes are only as flattering as the woman who wears them.
Women should want to provide for themselves and not depend on a man to do the things they want to do. When your lifestyle depends on a man, you are giving him a lot of power and control in the relationship.
So we all have specific colors that we love and love to wear but are those the colors that look best on us?
So I know I never post anything that's not related to style and fashion but I've realized I want to be more personal with my audience and let my blog consist of style advice, looks I've styled and interesting things I'm doing personally and as a stylist. I can't think of a better way to start doing this other than discussing my skydiving adventure!
Skydiving is simply awesome! It's definitely for the risk takers in life and if you can do the serious roller coasters, you'll love this! You only get about 20 seconds of free fall but it's a scary and incredible feeling that I've never gotten doing anything else. Ironically, I was super nervous about the experience until I got on the plane. (very weird, I know) I think it's because I realized I wasn't jumping out of this plane with just me and the person I was hooked up to. You'll jump with a group of people. Also, it doesn't seem like you're that high in the air from where you jump but I jumped about 15,000 ft!
Most of my nerves prior to jumping were because I wasn't 100% sure how this worked and the waiver you have to sign is very demanding but for good reason. If you ever have a chance to skydive, I highly recommend it. It's one of those things in life that boosts your adrenaline and lifts the stress of life off your shoulders. I am actually planning on doing this again next year with one of my friends! If you aren't a roller coaster lover, I would say zip lining is the best thing to try. I've never done it but I've heard from people who don't like roller coasters that they really enjoyed it.
If you're considering skydiving and aren't completely sure if you should, just leave a comment here and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have!

In celebration of St. Patty's Day, I thought I'd post an elegant look for the occasion. This showstopping crinkled satin Hudson jumpsuit flaunts a low-cut surplice neckline and a slinky, nearly bare back.. A great evening piece for spring! I've styled this jumpsuit with these flirty Pelle Moda sandals, a Nadri boxed arrow pendant and this Big Buddha mason clutch. I hope you love this look just as much as I do and enjoy the rest of your St. Patty's Day!
Chartreuse is the neon lime green color that has become very popular. It is usually worn subtly because of its brightness but the look I've created shows chartreuse dominantly and it works. It works because I've paired it with black and wearing an accessory has unique effects that a separate is not capable of. For example, the necklace and bracelet are bright and have a major impact on the ensemble but because they are small in size they blend well. Wearing a chartreuse blouse with black jewelry would not work as well because the contrast in colors would be more evident.
The Jody bracelet is absolutely fierce. If you're looking for a bit of every day edge, Jody is just the bracelet. The jet and grey CZ's adorn Jody's chic hematite slivers. Pairs great with dark CZ studs.
- Hematite metal, CZ's
- 2 1/2" diameter
- Stretch fit
For many of us, Easter Sunday is a holiday that you want to wear your best. It's the celebration of Christ's resurrection. It's a glorious remembrance of what he did for us; so all the more reason to dress this way.
