Decades ago, women didn't need to show much skin to dress seductively, while nowadays some women walk out the house wearing a dress that barely covers their derriére.
As we're starting to get warmer weather and the beaches are opening up, it's time to get our new swimwear for the spring and summer. If you love the bikinis and monokinis better than the one piece then by all means, fill your swim wardrobe with those. But if you only wear the bikini because everyone else is wearing one or if you like them but wear your cover-up the entire time you're on the beach, you may want to consider the one piece.
If you're not comfortable in the bikini, how much fun could you possibly have at the beach when the whole time you're focused on how you look? The only way this would make sense is if you went to the beach with the intention to just show off your new bikini but you probably wouldn't even accomplish that considering you're not comfortable wearing it.
This Juicy Couture maillot or one piece in this Scuba Maillot look is a great example. It's slimming with its black center and black and white stripes. It also emphasizes your bust. Accessorizing this look with these Oakley sunglasses makes you look sleek, which accents your confidence. Although it may seem odd to wear jewelry to the beach, it completes your look and is appropriate if you have no intention of getting in the water (maybe you just want to play some volleyball). It will also make you stand out as not many people will wear jewelry to the beach.
So have fun this spring and summer at the beach but be sure to dress for you! I've created some great options for all swimwear styles in this Swim Suiting look book to help you do just that..
STYLE TIP: No one is completely dressed if they're re-considering what they're wearing all day long.
