Thanksgiving is always in November and although there may be a technical reason why, I believe it's reasoning is for something that serves all of us well.
Every year in October, it seems to be a massive promotion for breast cancer awareness and many campaigns to support the organizations that we are told help do research to find a cure but it seems the primary focus is making people aware that it exists. Being aware of breast cancer in my opinion intensifies the likelihood of more people obtaining it instead of getting people to support the research to cure it.
When I was passionate about fashion, I always thought every look I put together had to match. I would have a different color to offset but it would most likely be white or black if I was wearing a bright color. If I wore a green blouse then I would look to wear green shoes, green jewelry and a green purse because in my mind, those were the rules of fashion. Nowadays, I realize how ridiculous that can be. There are days when I match but usually not to this extreme.
Dressing in the summertime professionally can be challenging because when it's scorching hot outside, we want to wear as less as possible, not a 3 piece suit. However, we must be selective in our choice of dress because some things just aren't excusable because it's 100 degrees outside. This is especially true when you are spending 8 hours of your day in an air conditioned building.
When purchasing items that you intend to wear often or for a long period of time, it is important that you purchase these items at the highest level of quality you can afford.
Some women tend to feel superior to others when they purchase an item that is full price or just became available in stores. It's their way of saying, "I can afford this." Although it is nice to feel confident when you see something you love that you can afford to buy, it is not wise to purchase something at full price when you can get it on sale.
Women have come a long way in gaining their power in the world. Even though there are still major challenges in women proving they are just as capable (if not more capable) as men in performing certain tasks, much progress has been made overtime.
Whenever I explain to people that my company focuses on the importance of style, they always inquire about fashion and the latest trends. It can be annoying but I understand that they have selective hearing and because they don't understand the difference, they continue to believe they are the same thing.. It's not their fault that the world has failed to educate them on the difference and that is why I am here.
I consider we can often be underdressed but your can never be overdressed. There is usually a shift in your confidence level when you don't believe you are dressed on a similar level to those around you. When you are what is considered, underdressed, your confidence is lower because you have the perception that you aren't as good as those around you. However, when your look makes you feel you are dressed as someone who is most influential to others, it is a beautiful thing.
