We may be a little more delicate and sensitive but that does not mean that we are not strong, in fact it just may make us a little stronger. As I explained in "Don't Call Me Girlie," a sensitive person feels the world in his or her soul so they often experience more pain than others. It is easy for someone who does not feel anything to let go of something they never cared about. It takes strength for a sensitive person to let go of something they put their heart into.
Our strength is not limited either. It is the woman who sacrifices her body and experiences pain when she gives her virginity to man. It is the woman who is in pain and tends to assume responsibility when giving birth to a child. It is the woman who has to work through the pain 1 week out of the month to maintain her fertility if she wants to give birth again. It is strength in itself to desire to bear another child, knowing the pain and sacrifices she has to make all over again. For it is the woman who has to give up certain aspects of her life to give birth to another child.
It is the woman who spends hours at a time making herself look good for man who only spends minutes to do the same. It is the woman who often has to work twice as hard as a man in order to achieve leadership roles. It is also the woman who tends to be treated badly in relationship after relationship and has to have the strength to uplift her self to not give up on love. She has to believe that there is still hope that true love still exists even though it seems like it can never be found.
So the next time you are feeling weak, just read this post to remind yourself of how strong you truly are.
