I have to either wear them with a blazer or a high-waisted bottom. Not only does it make me feel more confident, it also creates a more polished look for this trend instead of tacky. You are exposing only a portion of your midriff with either styling choice and it doesn't make you look like you just decided to wake up and wear a shirt that is two sizes too small for you. It's simply a classier look but if you are confident in wearing the crop top in a way that truly exposes your midriff, you're more likely to make that style elegant.
A great example of one of the ways I would wear a crop top is this Cropped Leather look I've created. This Thakoon Addition cropped leather top only exposes a few inches of the midriff area above your belly button when paired with these Asos high-rise waisted floral pants. This girly rocker look is accessorized with Vince Camuto Nisshah booties and collar necklace, Karen London Bohemia Fox earrings and a Natasha Couture finger studded clutch. If you're looking for more of a variety of crop top styling options, you'll find some great options in this Crop Topped lookbook.
